RESOURCES TO HELP YOU OUT AND WAYS FOR YOU TO CONNECT

Parenting, teaching, and helping kids with concerning behaviors can feel isolating, frustrating, thankless. And we’re going to do everything we can to ensure that you don’t feel that way anymore. Through our Facebook groups, we’re going to connect with you with others in similar situations. Through our podcasts, conferences, and other resources, we’re going to support you and help you learn more. We’ll keep you up-to-date with our newsletter (sign up below). And there’s even a section for kids! We invite you to become part of the village.

FACEBOOK GROUPS

Do you want to share ideas and experiences with parents, educators, and clinicians who are walking down a similar path? We have many Facebook groups for you to choose from (and, of course, you can participate in more than one):

The B Team (For Parents)

El Equipo B (Un grupo en Español para padres de niños con problemas de comportamiento)

Lost and Found (For Educators)

B Well (For Mental Health Clinicians and Staff in Therapeutic Facilities)

Advocators (For those who want to heighten awareness about counterproductive, punitive practices and help us to advocate for change)

PODCASTS

This is one of our most popular free resources. The CPS Podcast was newly formulated for the 2023-24 year for parents, educators, and providersit airs live on the first Tuesday of every month at 11 am ET, September through May. Click here to listen in live…or call (347) 994-2981 to ask questions while the program is on the air.

Programming Note: Some of the participants for our January podcast — Is the New ABA Really New? — are under the weather, so that program will now air live on January 23rd. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can listen to the program here.

For transcriptions of many of our podcasts, click here.

Current episodes as well as hundreds of past podcasts for parents can be found in the library below.

CPS KIDS

Hey parents, this section is just for kids! But it’s OK for you to check it out too. Through cartoons, we’re presenting the key themes of the CPS model in kid-friendly form. And there’s more in the pipeline, so check back!

COMIC RELIEF

Being a kid with concerning behaviors is no fun, and the caregivers of those kids aren’t exactly living the dream either. But sometimes a little humor can go a long way. So we’ve created some comics to perhaps bring a smile to your face, give you some perspective, and help you get back into the game. Click any comic to download a printable 8×10 PDF version.
